Random flower

When our weeds were pulled from the yard, I asked that one remained seeing as how it did not look like the others. The unusual plant grew taller and taller and soon a huge bud appeared. We waited for months for this thing to open. And now that it has, it is so beautiful! I hope that after we get through all the weeds of our nations economy that we will be able to stand tall, find our place and nurture it until it blooms as well. It was worth the wait! It almost looks like a crimson sunflower.. kind of symbolic, if you know what I mean... Corny, huh??!!
