Freezer Meals and Sock Buns!

Let me tell you how much fun I have been having with my little projects! It is one thing to finally have my office unpacked and set up.... but it is totally another when I am able to FINALLY accomplish some of the projects on my list! Most of the stuff is all tiny things but boy do I feel great when they are all done! It is nice to feel good about something you've done. I hope to be able to post more about the tings I am doing. I usually post about the kids, (or barely enough to get Grace's Weeks pictures on here!) But the kiddos help, too.

FREEZER MEALS

Freezer meals.... I am a new addict! I am loving our new freezer meal swap group. The general idea is that we all make one recipe for 6 families that can be frozen and we swap em! OK, so there is more to it than that but I am all about it now! Not only do we have ready made meals at hand, we try new things and the best part of all.... I don't have to make yet another gluten free meal for Bryan and the kids. Usually they eat gluten free or I cook two meals or a variation of the gluten ingredient. Anyhow, it has been so nice. (Except now Bryan is not home to eat them. Oh, well. He will be soon, I hope!)

Here is pics of what I made. Brushetta and cheese stuffed chicken. Bryan said that they were so good. He said it a few times actually! It is a really good recipe!

25 chicken breasts..... I had to pound them out to 1/4 inch.

I don't have a meat mallet... Yet.

But for the sake of my hands and cans... I will soon!

I mixed all the ingredients except the salad dressing and then I rolled away!

I made 6 pans plus one breast for Bryan that night.

Mmmmm... I should have taken a pic of it cooked. Bryan ate it too fast!!

Ready for the freezer swap! I may even do this for myself with other stuffed chicken recipes!

SOCK BUNS

Now I ran into this idea on accident but am soooo happy I found it! You see my friend from way back when just got a digital perm, (I soooo want one,) and I was looking up some pics about it to show Bryan and the kiddos what the machine looks like and what it does. So on the blog I visited, there was a video about how to do a sock bun. But most intriguing to me is that it also curls your hair over night! So Emma and I tried it! Our buns turned out great! Emmas curls the next morning were fantastic. Mine.... not so much. My hair was dirty and I think I rolled it wrong.

You take the end of a sock and cut off the toes and then roll it up like a doughnut. Then you roll your damp pony tail, (or pigtails,) up into a bun. There's no hair hanging out and it looks so cute and full!

Here is her bun from the back.

I took this while she was brushing her teeth!

LATER THAT NEXT MORNING...

SEE! How beautiful!

Emma already has beautiful hair. But it is always fun to find new ways to style it!

She was so happy!

Like I said... My bun was great... the curls, not so much. I will try it again when my hair is clean!

Ooooh! FAB!

Oh, we have also been making hair bows/clips. Mostly clips but they are cute! Only a few more to make and Emma and I will take some pictures for you all!

This bun thing is quite interesting!! you'll have to show me how you do it. Fun posts though!! we should get together and do a craft or make bows or something!!
