"We HAVE to do a vacation this year. I don't care if we stay in town... We just have to do something!"
Bryan and I have been through a lot these past few years... So have the kids. But most of all our family time has been zilch since Bryan started working these INSANELY UNREASONABLE hours, (had to put that out there!) 4am to 11pm... 6 almost 7 days a week? At least it has calmed down quite a bit. He only works from 6am to 6pm now (sometimes more and hours always vary) but 5 days a week. Much better.
Anyhow. We have a to do list this summer... Park hoping was one of them so this Saturday we started at the park by daddys work so that we could kidnap him for lunch and really start our day.

We stayed out of the heat and ate lunch at daddy's work. Plus we were going to a water park next and thought that changing in a public place would be crazy with 4 kids. Daddy and Grace were having a conversation... Probably something like... "French fries are frigin' awesome dad, thanks!"

Grace did not like the water shooting out of the ground. For a water baby... she was very shy that day. (Later that night she threw a temp of 103.4... Maybe she will like it next time when she feels better.)

My sleepy baby... can't believe she crashed with all the commotion. (Makes sense with the fever and all...)

We ended the day with a drive through the last park to get more info and excitement for our upcoming hike. Red Rock was calling to me and I miss going there. So I convinced Bryan to drive it and we took an ity-bity hike just to please the kiddos. Can't do much in a swim suit at sunset there!

We had fun and crashed hard that night! Once back into town it was almost 9pm so we stopped off at Dennys for dinner and made it home by 10:30. We didn't all wake up till 10am the next morning! Yep, that's why we didn't make it to church the next day... Family stay-vacations rock!
