Our little surprise addition to our family is now here and we can't imagine life without her! Mommy went into labor Sunday but nothing was steady enough to go any where. That night things really picked up and by Monday morning we were off to the hospital. Of course we first had to drop off cookies to Emma's class since it was her birthday that day as well. Once we arrived at the hospital we were upstairs within the hour and the epidural came soon after... Whew! Then daddy got a call back from a job offer that wanted to meet with him Tuesday at 1:30. (Little did we know that he would be starting his first day on the new job!!) After a few hours we were ready to push and waited for the doctor who was stuck in traffic. Once he arrived there was one push and Grace arrived into the world! She is the new love of our lives and it is truly amazing how the love in a family grows, not divides, when a new spirit enters in. We are blessed beyond all measure to have her with us. All our family has been singing this week is the favorite LDS primary song, "I Am a Child of God." What a wonderful song to hear out of their mouths, (and Scott's as well... my little talker!) We are thankful for a Father in Heaven who has provided a way so that families can be together forever. We love you little Gracie!
Home from the hospital and into Elijah's arms. He was so proud of her! This big boy just adores his little sister.
Ignore the postpartum mommy in the pic... But look! We have FOUR kids now! Never would have imagined!
Then it was Emma's turn to hold her birthday present. Finally after 7 years she got a sister... and on her birthday, too! (We can't get over it!) She is very thankful and can't wait until she is a bit older and can teach her "girly" things... as she says!
Grace had very dry skin after the first day but I absolutely love this picture. I forget how tiny newborns are. They get out of that phase too fast.
She is so beautiful and pictures just never justify. Well, at least from our cameras!!
I Am a Child of God
(First verse)
I am a child of God,
And he has sent me here,
Has given me an earthly home
With parents kind and dear.
Lead me, guide me, walk beside me,
Help me find the way.
Teach me all that I must do
To live with him someday.
And he has sent me here,
Has given me an earthly home
With parents kind and dear.
Lead me, guide me, walk beside me,
Help me find the way.
Teach me all that I must do
To live with him someday.

I'm not entirely convinced that you had a baby!
1) You look waaay too good for just having had a baby. Where's YOUR puffy face?
2) The baby in the photos looks a lot like Scott to me. Pretty sure these are just more "Scott in baby girl clothes" pics that you have kept under wraps.
I hopefully, I will be over the flu soon and I will be able to investigate this matter in person.
Until I can prove otherwise, Congratulations!
Congratulations! She is adorable. I am so happy that it sounds like things are getting better. What a blessing that Bryan found a job the day after she was born. I feel really bad that we missed the birthday party. I think we should take the three older kids off your hands on Saturday so you can have a day to yourself and the baby, and my kids would love to play with your kids.
So the pict of you and the kids just melts my heart. It's like time is frozen on the most tender moment. Love it. She is gorgeous.
