California Trip - Part THREE

Ahhh... Water day! All though the weather was BEAUTIFUL everyday we were there... being from Vegas we looked forward to this day. (Vegas really needs a water park.)

Bring on the water!
This is the main tower. Bryan, Haley, Emma and LJ spent most of their time there. I took the other two over to the other half that was just for toddlers. It even had a lazy river and slides just like the grown-up side. Later on in the day, Bryan came to get Scott and I took Gracie to the toddler lazy river. She fell asleep on the raft. GOTTA get me one of those!
ALSO... being a water park... We kept the camera in the locker. This is the only picture we took. Far away from the water!!

After all our water park fun we headed back into the main park to play in this pirate cove fort. The big barrel on top fills and dumps a pool of water on everyone!

See!

Scott and Grace stayed with us and played in the toddler area again. I think they had even more fun this time since swimsuits and a warm sun made for a great time!

LJ was too intimidated by the HUGE barrel dumping water on him and left to play with Gracie.

Such a wet and happy baby!!

BEACH TIME! Our kids FIRST time ever at the beach. They were in awe. Couldn't believe that it just went on forever. Biggest thing they had ever seen. I think it was the most fun of all too!

Scott wouldn't go near the water for a while... Just wanted to play in the sand.

Bryan and Doug taking the kids out to the waves.

Doug and his son Westley. Bryan with Emma and Elijah.

Emma LOVED to wave jump!

LJ and his "cool tricks!"

I had to coax Scott and Gracie into the water. It was a lot for them to take in but they were soon joining the rest!

I was watching the others in the ocean and Gracie was digging for shells... or something like that!

Bryan and Scott wave jumping!
LJ's favorite thing to do was have the waves chase him!

All the "boys"

Gracie was so happy to be playing in the sand.

Such a cutie!

Scott was so funny to watch.. He kept freaking out every time a wave got him!

Bryan and Doug went further out to really wave jump. (Bryan getting smacked and Doug diving!)

Emma gathered "all the seaweed from the ocean!"

My sweet little girl...

More seaweed...

More wave chasing...

Emma was in her element... Just like her mommy!

Scott running some more from the waves.

Grace took me for a walk back and forth along the beach... I think she was contemplating about going in.

More beach walking... The boys, Elijah, Scott and Westley, were good buds. They spent a lot of time together on the beach.

FINALLY! She went in! I think it was too cold for her tastes. But she went in!! (Actually the wave was bigger than I thought and we got a little surprise!!! Good one mom!)

She tried to step out of it. Too cute!

The ride back to the Olaves, (thanks again guys!) was a quiet one... Grace was asleep too but woke up right when we got there.

The next day we headed home... On the way we detoured to see my best friend. Three years ago Emma and little Brian started Kindergarten. They had to ride the bus and that is how it all started. Two bus stop moms became BESTEST of friends! I was so excited to see her again seeing as how they moved two years ago to California and I was not able to attend her wedding. It was a short visit but SO glad I got to see her.

This is Brian and Emma... (and the dogs!) So cute!

My BFF and her hubbie, Brian.

Our families all together! Miss you already Brandi!

For our first BIG family vacation I would have to say that it was a success! The kids still talk about it and Scott often asks to go back there. I just simply reply, "Me, too Scott... me, too."
